Forensic Accounting?

Forensic Accounting - Financial Clarity

Jane Mitchell here. After my latest case in the glamorous fashion world, people ask me what I do as the managing partner of forensic accounting at Quantum Quotient CPAs.

Forensic accounting is a fancy name for examining whether there is a financial crime. To do that, we use a mix of accounting, auditing, and investigative skills to conduct our investigations. We start by analyzing financial statements and recognizing patterns of potential fraud or negligence. Whether investigating white-collar crimes like embezzlement and securities fraud or assisting in civil litigation cases regarding insurance claims or contractual disputes, forensic accountants play the role of financial detectives, piecing together numerical puzzles and providing litigation support to uncover the story behind balances and bottom lines.
